Every player attempts to get the club on line & square at impact. A breakdown of the left wrist and collapse of the leading arm at that moment are two of the most common problems faced by players of all skill levels. Impact Bag® is one of the most popular training aids of all time for the following reason - there is only one moment of truth in the golf swing - Impact! This device teaches the correct position and feel at that moment.
Unlike hitting a car tire or other hard object the Impact Bag® is safe and has been designed specifically for golfers. Developing a strong left side while turning into the ball will help eliminate many of the inconsistencies brought on by left wrist collapse & will help bring you into a solid, assertive impact. The Impact Bag® also comes with a special slice cure supplement, guaranteed to cure your slice in 60 seconds.
Using the Impact Bag® in conjunction with the Perfect Swing Path Board (for swing path & setup) you will develop virtually all the elements of a consistent, repeating and powerful swing.
The Power Fan works using air resistance. The four-finned design produces maximum resistance right as you swing through impact. Unlike weighted clubs - YOU do the work!
Because the Power Fan stands up by itself, it is much more likely to be used than stuck in a closet. It looks so inviting when you see it that it begs to be swung. Regarding how much, how hard and how often, think of it just like lifting weights. Swing it to exhaustion every couple of days. Since the fan has the benefit of increasing strength you want to break down your muscles and allow them to rebuild. You can swing very aggressively and a typical workout routine might be to start with 2 sets of 25 reps swinging at about 70% effort. After a week build to 3 sets of 30 reps and you can start firing harder through impact. We also suggest swinging left handed for a set so you don't overbuild one side of your body.
The Fan has two primary sizes men’s and ladies (junior available too) with the ladies fins being a little narrower. The ladies model is suitable for anyone over 5 feet tall and provides is used by some men who want more speed training than strength training.
Two additional notes that are relevant to your training. Although the primary function of the Fan is to build golf specific muscles, you can swing it on 'non-training' days just to retain the swing sequence (hips, torso, shoulders, arms, hands, club) without fatiguing yourself. While you wouldn't want to swing it 100 times before playing, it would be fine to swing it at 50-60% effort just to get the feeling of engaging your core and maintaing a smooth swing tempo.
If you're going for max speed, combine your Power Fan workout with swinging a raw shaft (E.g. 45" steel or graphite driver shaft) or better yet use a 48" alignment rod (aka driveway marker). If you wrap some sport tape like tennis grip around one end and put about 1 oz. of lead tape on the bottom of it where the clubhead would normally be you'll get a great feeling of loading with a pronounced whip through impact. If your driver speed is normally 100 mph you could perhaps swing the alignment rod 135 mph. The principle behind this is that you're teaching your body to do something it has never done ... that is, swing at 135 mph. When you go back to your driver it is typical to find a short term 5-6 mph gain in clubhead speed so you'd now be swinging at 105 mph.
Take the Power Fan to the gym of leave it in the living room and swing it when you need a break. In just 2 weeks you will begin to feel a major difference in the power and control of your swing. The Power Fan is used by many tour pros, long drive competitors and is endorsed by PGA Master Professional Dr. Gary Wiren.
