The Swing Speed Radar is a small, inexpensive microwave Doppler radar velocity sensor that accurately measures clubhead speed. It will assist you in optimizing your swing by providing a convenient measure of your swing velocity as you strive to hit the ball farther.
Increased swing speed corresponds to increased ball distance however, over-swinging can produce inferior results, as suggested by the advice -- "it's not how hard you swing but how well you swing."
Players can measure their swing speed; determine their speed for optimum performance; monitor their swing consistency; and select the golf club characteristics that best suit their swing. Golfers can determine their optimum swing for the best distance, control and accuracy. The SwingSPEED Radar is positioned opposite the ball about 10-12 inches directly away. No club attachments are necessary. It can also be placed on the ground about four feet behind the tee, in line with the clubhead's approach toward the ball. Powered by three AA-size batteries, the SwingSPEED Radar is microprocessor-controlled, and indicates calculated miles per hour clubhead speeds ranging from 30 to over 200 miles per hour, on a large easy-to-read liquid crystal display. (Kilometers per hour units of measure can be selected, if the user prefers.)
The affordable SwingSPEED Radar is a valuable aid for players of all ages and skill levels, and is a powerful tool for coaches and instructors.
